Rs 14,131.6 cr recovered from sale of Vijay Mallya’s assets: Sitharaman
The Finance Minister informed the Lok Sabha that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been successful in recovering assets from several high-profile economic offenders.

According to sources here on Sunday, vigilance started an investigation against Sajda Begum on April 20, 2023. Vigilance conducted a thorough investigation. On March 20, 2025, the report was submitted to the government.

According to the FIR lodged in the Vigilance department, Sajda Begum had shown her income as about Rs 23.83 lakh while she spent Rs 50.61 lakh.
The report of expenditure more than double the income was sent to the government. Vigilance has registered a case considering Sajda Begum guilty. Vigilance Inspector Ramveer has registered the case.
