FIR against ex ex-chairperson of Aligarh Municipal Corporation in DA case

A case has been registered against Sajda Begum, former chairperson of Aligarh Municipal Corporation, in the case of disproportionate assets.

Agra Vigilance registered a case after two years of investigation on August 23.

According to sources here on Sunday, vigilance started an investigation against Sajda Begum on April 20, 2023. Vigilance conducted a thorough investigation. On March 20, 2025, the report was submitted to the government.

According to the FIR lodged in the Vigilance department, Sajda Begum had shown her income as about Rs 23.83 lakh while she spent Rs 50.61 lakh.

The report of expenditure more than double the income was sent to the government. Vigilance has registered a case considering Sajda Begum guilty. Vigilance Inspector Ramveer has registered the case.
